The delegation of the International Innovation University (Uzbekistan) paid a working visit to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, discussing with the leadership of the country's leading university the areas of mutually beneficial partnership.

At the meeting, the guests were welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector Yerkin Duisenov. He spoke about the status of the research university, which took 166th place in the QS WUR 2026 ranking, and stressed that KazNU cooperates with 20 universities and institutes in Uzbekistan, including three organizations in Karakalpakstan. The university has particularly close ties with the Azhiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute. So, in February 2025, advanced training courses for teachers of the Azhiniyaz Nukus State Pedagogical Institute in pedagogy, philology and geography, organized by the Institute of Advanced Training and Additional Education of KazNU, were completed at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Thanking for the interest in the university's activities, the first Vice-rector expressed confidence in the success of fruitful cooperation between the universities.

In response, Sardor Nigmatjonov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Innovation and International Cooperation, spoke about the International Innovation University (Xalqaro Innovation Universitet), located in the city of Karshi, the administrative center of Kashkadarya region. Expressing interest in establishing partnerships, the guest of honor suggested considering the possibility of opening a branch of the leading university of Kazakhstan and Central Asia in Uzbekistan in the future.

Further, the parties discussed such areas of mutually beneficial cooperation as the organization of academic exchange of students and teachers, the creation of joint online courses and educational platforms, the implementation of joint innovative projects and startup initiatives involving young scientists and students, and others.
