News: Representatives of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Visited the UN Office in Almaty for Collaborative Discussions on Sustainable Development Goals

Representatives from al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU) had a working visit to the United Nations Office in Almaty to discuss further avenues of collaboration between KazNU and the United Nations (UN) in pursuit of sustainable development goals.
Ms. A.B. Uvaliyeva, a member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Operations at al-Farabi KazNU, welcomed Mr. Vlastimil Samek, Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications, and expressed gratitude for the meeting. Ms. S.Kh. Abdugazieva, a senior specialist from the Pan-Gi Moon Institute for Sustainable Development, conveyed her desire to renew cooperation between the Institute and the Department of Global Communications. The aim is to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) standards and explore the potential participation of al-Farabi KazNU in global UN missions.
Mr. Vlastimil Samek, the UN Department of Global Communications Representative, expressed his gratitude to the Vice-Rector for the visit and for the support aimed at implementing SDG principles. During the meeting, Mr. Samek proposed the regular organization of joint events with al-Farabi KazNU in accordance with the UN events calendar.
Throughout the meeting, participants exchanged ideas and visions concerning future collaboration opportunities. The discussions highlighted the shared commitment of al-Farabi KazNU and the UN to foster sustainable development initiatives and contribute to the global SDG agenda. This visit marked an important step in fortifying the partnership between al-Farabi KazNU and the United Nations, ensuring a collaborative path toward achieving a more sustainable and inclusive future.
