Within the framework of the II Central Asia–China Summit, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Almaty City Development Center signed a memorandum with the Chinese company TusoHoldings CO. LTD on the establishment of a joint business incubator.
The joint business incubator will be launched on the basis of the "Farabi Hub" Center for Innovative Products and High-Tech Projects at KazNU.
The goal is to promote the commercialization of students' startup projects, scientific developments and business ideas of young scientists, as well as to attract entrepreneurs and investors to support or finance scientific projects. This initiative, in turn, will create broad opportunities for combining higher education, business and manufacturing.
The creation of the business incubator will be carried out jointly by all parties. The university will provide a special site for hosting the business incubator, and the Chinese company will be responsible for providing specific operational services.
