The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted the international scientific and practical conference "New Horizons for the Development of Constitutional Values in the light of legal trends, modern challenges and global social transformations", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law. Sciences, Professor Gayrat Sapargaliev.

The plenary session was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Board, First Vice–Rector Yerkin Duisenov.  He noted that the conference brought together scientists and practitioners of statesmen of Kazakhstan and abroad, expressing special gratitude to the guests of honor – Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sarsenbayev, Deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament Snezhana Imasheva and other experts.

Rector of the Academy of Financial Monitoring Yergali Mirzadinov also greeted the conference participants. In his speech, he noted the invaluable contribution of academician Gayrat Sapargaliyev to the formation of the legal sovereignty of our state, his role in the adoption of many crucial laws, including the Constitution of independent Kazakhstan. "A special place in the life of Gayrat Sapargalievich was occupied by the work devoted to the education and training of legal personnel, both practitioners and scientists".- said Ergali Serikpaevich. "He was firmly convinced that a lawyer, in the context of building a state governed by the rule of law, should first of all be fully focused on human rights activities and legal support for human and civil rights"

The following speakers also made presentations at the meeting: Rector of Penza State University, Doctor of Law, Professor Alexander Gulyakov, Chairman of the Judicial Board for Civil Cases of the Almaty City Court Nariman Beknazarov, State Adviser of Justice of the 3rd class, Major General Saule Aitpayeva, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of KazNU Yerkesh Nurpeisov, Professor of the Department of International Law at the Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages. Abylai Khan, Doctor of Law Eduard Mukhamedzhanov and others.

The conference continued in the framework of breakout sessions, where scientists and experts discussed topical issues of legal development, modern constitutional and judicial law.
