Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with President of the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World Menderes Demir.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on holding an international symposium and media forum in the future, which will bring together experts in the field of cinema and journalism.

Welcoming the guest, Zhanseit Tuimebayev discussed the training of journalists at the university, noting that the Faculty of Journalism of KazNU occupies a leading position in Kazakhstan in training specialists for domestic and international media. The Rector expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World, focusing on the development of the media sphere and the organization of internships for students.

During the meeting, Menderes Demir stated that he would make every effort to enhance cooperation between the federation and KazNU. He also spoke about the main purpose of the symposium and forum for media professionals, which will be jointly held with KazNU in the future.

At the end of the negotiations, both sides agreed to work systematically on proposals and establish a working group.
