Partnership between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and China has reached a new level

As part of the official visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the People's Republic of China, the opening of the International Institute and Robotics Center "Digital Technologies and Robotics" at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took place.
This significant initiative was the result of a strategic partnership between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the leading Chinese high-tech company Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.
The ceremony took place within the framework of a meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council with the participation of President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Beijing.
Chairman of the Board, Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev, took part in the ceremony on behalf of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. was represented by Ms. Li Wen.
The parties confirmed their desire to deepen cooperation and implement mutually beneficial projects in the field of science and education, expressing confidence that the new center will become a major cluster in the fields of education, research and innovation in the future.
As part of the ceremony, a special video about the Institute and the Robotics Center was presented. The center is located on the territory of KazNU Hub and covers an area of 600 square meters. The total investment amounted to 2 500 000 US dollars. To date, 13 modern robots have been installed in the center.
The Institute plans to develop and implement joint educational programs for bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in the fields of Robotics, Mechatronics, Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The specialists intend to conduct research in the field of industrial, service and educational robots, contributing to the automation of production and the creation of intelligent control systems. The project will also create startups and innovative companies.
This initiative will be an important step towards Kazakhstan's digital development and will give an impetus to strengthening the country's position in the international innovation space.
