SDG 5 - Gender Equality
Women and children continue to suffer from discrimination and violence across all regions of the world. SDG 5 is dedicated to achieving gender equality, holds particular significance in addressing poverty and hunger (SDG 1 and SDG 2). Women's education can serve as a primary avenue for reducing inequality (SDG 10). It is important for women to play their role in constructing an equitable society (SDG 16). Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right but also an essential foundation for global peace, prosperity, and sustainable development. Ensuring women and girls have equal access to education is a pivotal prerequisite for fostering gender equality, in which Al-Farabi Kazakh National University also plays a vital role in advancing gender parity within its communities. |
